Mission: Mining the Fast Carbon Cycle

The C-minus mission is to intercept the carbon embodied in organic wastes on its way back to the ecosystem and covert it to valuable, durable products that generate profits for community stakeholders while locking away carbon for 1,000 years.


More than 100B metric tonnes of carbon are processed through the earth’s biosphere every year in the Fast Carbon Cycle. Photosynthesis fixes carbon from air & water in biomass, which ultimately returns its carbon to the atmosphere through decomposition emissions of CO2, CH4 & N2O.


Humans interact with the Fast Cycle (aka Biogenic Carbon Cycle) in virtually everything we do, and we have established a wide array of collection systems for organic waste stream management. Mining even a small fraction of the Carbon flowing through existing Fast Cycle aggregation channels offers enormous opportunity for sequestration & valorization of waste carbon throughout the US and world beyond.

Technology: Hydrothermal Carbonization

C-minus' proprietary Hydrothermal Carbon Valorization (HCV) processing of organic waste streams will offer the world’s first viable Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) modality that creates more energy & water than it uses and provides profit incentive for scalability through widespread point source stakeholder adoption.


C-minus' proprietary Hydrothermal Carbon Valorization (HCV)  technology processes organic wastes via automated hydrothermal reactor systems, strategically located close to organic waste aggregation points. Products include Activated HydroChar and nutrient-balanced Liquid Fertilizer, as well as HydroChar soil amendment and Carbon Credits. Our process is sealed, generates more energy & water than it consumes, destroys many chemical & pharmaceutical toxins, 

and produces zero harmful emissions.

Trash to Treasure - Scale by Sharing

By purchasing and collecting organic wastes from point source generators clustered nearby our strategically sited facilities, C-minus provides supplemental revenue streams to Farmers, Timber Mills, Casinos, Schools, and Landscapers. Sharing in the economic benefit will accelerate adoption and drive scale.
